James Bourland, 69, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Sunday, February, 26, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on March 22, 1947 in Madisonville, KY to the late Anna Pearl Bourland and James Harold Bourland. James was self-employed in construction and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed mechanic work and loved restoring old cars.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Brunson and Linda Mallory; and his brother, Harold Glen Bourland.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Diane Bourland; sons, Ronnie Bourland, Donnie Bourland, BJ Bourland all of Nortonville,Terry Bourland of Earlington, KY, David Bourland and Scotty Bourland both of Nashville, TN; daughter, Becky Golden of Nortonville; brothers, Kenny Bourland, Donnie Bourland, Steve Bourland and Jerry Bourland; sisters, Sandy Walker, Karen Holmes and Kathy Bone; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Chaplain Don Duncan officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Terry Bourland, Ronnie Bourland, Donnie Bourland, BJ Bourland, Corey Bourland and Travis Bourland.
