Ida Frances Hook Riggs, 84, of Manitou, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehab in Madisonville.

She was born on June 2, 1940, in Madisonville KY to the late Lottie Braden Hopper and William B. Hook. Ida was a stay-at-home mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved cooking and taking care of all of her family. Ida was a member of Lone Star Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerome "Frog" Riggs; her son, Michael Trent Riggs; and her brother, Bill Hook.

Survivors include her sons, Ben Riggs of Manitou, KY, and Tim (Sherri) Riggs of Madisonville; brother, William Douglas (Sandy) Hook of North Reading MA; grandchildren, Ben Riggs, Jennifer Young, Adam Riggs, Derek Riggs, Katelyn Lester and Kendall Hunt; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY with Bro. Kevin Cook officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Ben Riggs, Adam Riggs, Derek Riggs, Alan Young, Austin Young and Tony Young.
