Helen Lee Knox, 93, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehab in Madisonville.

She was born on April 17, 1930, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Eula Coffman Lee and Raymond Lee. She was formerly employed as the administrative assistant to the plant manager and also a cost accountant at Goodyear. She loved sports, especially Cubs baseball, reading, and camping in the RV. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Helen was a member of Suthards Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, George Thomas Knox, Sr.; sister, Mavoureen Lee; brother, Harold Lee; and step-grandson, Jacob Walters.

Survivors include her daughters, Derinda Knight of Madisonville and Diane (Brent) Jones of Mt. Juliet, TN; sons, George (Kathy) T. Knox Jr. and Alan O. Knox, both of Madisonville; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Egbert officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Thomas Knox, Alan Knox, John Knox, Mark Yarbrough, Rusty Knox, and David Knox.
