Helen Jewell Stroud Corbitt, 89, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on May 17, 1936, in Calhoun, KY, to the late Helen Oakley Stroud and Hardin Edmond Stroud. She enjoyed quilting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Helen was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. "Jay" Corbitt; son, Anthony Corbitt; and several brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include her son, Billy Corbitt of Madisonville; daughter, Pam Littlepage of Madisonville; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
