Ms. Grant was a graduate of Anton High School where she was a cheerleader. She also attended the former Lockyear Business College in Evansville as well as the University of Evansville two years. She worked as a medical/pharmacy technician for many years for the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office in Evansville. She and her beloved companion dog, Bobo, had resided for the last several years at the Oak Ridge Senior Retirement Center in Madisonville.

Ms. Grant is survived by nephews Wayne Moore (wife, Janice) of Glasgow, Kentucky; Jerold Moore (wife Lou Ann) of Westfield, Indiana; Mike Moore (wife, Lisa) of Madisonville; nieces Laquita Hohman of Greenville, Kentucky, and Bessie Dunbar of Alabama; several grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Of the five girls and three sons of her late parents, Melton and Bessie Uzzle Moore, Ms. Grant was the last surviving child. Preceding her in death were brothers Ora, Shelley, and Roy Moore, and sisters, Hazel Durham, Connie Bowley, Clarise Childress, and Sarah Colvin.

Married 20 years to Lee Roy Grant who passed away in 1977.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on January 11, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Len Young officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Pallbearers are the nephews.

Visitation will be from Noon until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Baptist Health Hospice in Madisonville or the Hopkins County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
