Glenda Thompson, 75, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at her home.

She was born on February 10, 1939 in Wheatcroft, KY to the late Maurice and Thelma Edens. She was formerly a CNA with Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin Edens; and her children, Treasa, Donna, Janet, Brian Keith, Darrell Dean and Tony Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Freeman Darrell Thompson; her children, Danny Thompson of Florida, Terry (Anna), Christopher, Troy, Rodney Eric and Kimberly Thompson and Valerie Deitz all of Madisonville; her sisters, Sandra (Thomas) Woods, Beverly (William) McGar and Maurice (Carl) Jameson; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Lyn Young officiating. Burial at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
