Gladys B. Cartwright, 101, of Madisonville, KY passed away at Oak Ridge Retirement Center in Madisonville on Monday, March 16, 2015.

She was born on December 28, 1913 in Ardel, AL to the late Ruby and Frank Wilson. Gladys was a charter member and the oldest living member at Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Cartwright; daughter, Martha Wilson; four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Virginia) Cartwright of Greenville, KY and Ronnie (Virginia) Claron Cartwright of Belton, MO; sisters, Audrey Darity of Greenville and Betty Sell of Coiltown, KY; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville with Dr. Bob Morrison and Bro. Franklin Skaggs officiating. Burial to follow in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville.

Pallbearers will be Danny Wilson, Mark Cartwright, Boyd Cartwright, John Cartwright, Clay Cartwright and Adam Wilson.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Cartwrights memory to Grapevine Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
