Hubert Eugene "Gene" Morgan, 88, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.

He was born on April 24, 1936, in Dawson Springs, KY, to the late Velma Arrietta Jennings Morgan and Cecil Audie Morgan. He married Joyce Roskosky in 1958 and she was his whole world. He retired from sales with Rogers Jewelers, and he also was in car sales. He was a proud distinguished Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed genealogy, photography, and trains. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Gene was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Joyce Roskosky Morgan of Madisonville; sons, Steve Morgan of St. Augustine, FL, and Todd (JoAnn) Morgan of Nampa ID; daughter, Theresa (Gerald) Ladd of Sturgis, KY; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lantrip officiating. Burial to follow at Phythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dale Pierce, Jerry Ladd, and Gabe Byrd.
