Gary Wayne Nance, 74, of Hanson, KY passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on August 12, 1943 in Hanson to the late Eva Grace Nance and Ott Welby Nance. Gary was in the United States Army Reserves and was owner and operator of 1884 Furniture Refinishing and Repair. He loved the city of Hanson where he was born, lived and had his furniture repair shop. In his spare time he liked to hunt and fish and truly loved spending time with his granddaughters. Gary loved his beautiful dog and companion Ziva.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Welby Jewell Nance.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheri Kipling of Newburgh, IN and Candy Nance of Hanson; granddaughters, Olivia Grace Kipling and Sophia Katheryne Kipling both of Newburgh; nieces, Cindy LaMure and husband, Johnny of Hanson and DeAnn Foster and husband, Steve of Scottsville, KY; nephews, Tony Rudd and Terry Rudd both of Hanson; and his special friends, Diane and Kathy.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tony Rudd, Terry Rudd, Ralph Melton, Mike Flener, Johnny LaMure and Tommy Hawkins.
