Gary Lee Mitchell, 61, of Greenville, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

He was born on March 5, 1957 in Munich, Germany to the late Margaret Chavis and William Mitchell. Gary was a United States Army Veteran and retired from TVA. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and loved taking vacations.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Pat Mitchell; daughters, Audrey Mitchell of Boaz, AL and Nevada Kirchner and husband, Mike of Lancaster, PA; step-son, David Pyle of Hopkinsville, KY; brothers, Larry Mitchell of Disputanta, VA and Ronald Mitchell of Evensville, TN; sisters, Jo Ann Hatz of New Providence, PA and Nancy Watson of Evensville, TN; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Chaplain Don Duncan officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
