Gary Ray Carner, 61, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home.

He was born on February 26, 1957 in Providence, KY to Dorothy Carner and the late Richard Carner. Gary was a self employed truck driver and was a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Dalton, KY.  He enjoyed reading, playing chess and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Carner; and his brothers, Terry Carner, Tony Carner and David Carner.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Carner of Nebo, KY; his daughter, Charity Earl and husband, Scott of Dawson Springs; sons, Steven Carner of Dawson Springs and Jamison Carner of Jacksonville, FL; his sister, Sheila Tapp and husband, Paul of Nebo; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Kevin Cummins officiating. A burial will be held at a later date.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.
