Garland M. "Road Runner" Harvey, Jr., 71, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his home.

He was born on July 11, 1944 in Greenville, KY to the late Thelma and Garland M. Harvey, Sr. Garland was a self employed truck driver and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, racing, wrestling and karaoke.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Harvey and his son, Eugene Dukes, Jr.

Survivors include his children, Wayne Dukes and wife, Melissa of Dawson Springs, KY, David "Swampy' (Amanda Larkins) Harvey of White Plains, KY, John Dukes and wife, Tammy of Hopkinsville, KY and Chasity Oakley and husband, David of Madisonville; brothers, Robert Harvey of Eureka, MO, Donda Harvey of White Plains, Paul Harvey and Elgon Harvey and wife, Dojie all of Madisonville; sister, Maudie Harvey Williams and husband, Jody of Nortonville; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Raymond Farmer officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Keith Wilson, Lance Johnson, Wayne Dukes, John Dukes, David Oakley and Milton Oliver.
