Fred Stokes' Obituary
Fred Stokes, 70, of White Plains, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
He was born on December 31, 1946 in Earlington, KY to the late Emma Jean and Albert Levi Stokes. Fred was self employed in construction. He enjoyed going to flea markets and loved to travel.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Stokes, Billy Stokes and Paul Stokes; and his sisters, Gaynell Bivins, Mildred Brasher and Rebecca Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Stokes; sons, Frederick Stokes of Earlington, KY and Billy Stokes of Belvidere, IL; daughter, Karen Stokes of Lyons, IL; brother, Kenny Stokes; sisters, Ouida Stokes and Donna Rodgers; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Ronald LaFon officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
