Franklin D. Moore, 81, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah.

He was born on June 13, 1935 in Graham, KY to the late Velma and James Odie Moore. Franklin retired from Peabody Coal Company Camp 2 and was a member of Johnson Island Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and taking care of his chickens.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Day; his brothers, Paul Moore and James Moore; and his half sister, Gladys Moore.

Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Brenda Moore; daughters, Deborah Turley and husband, Charles, Rebecca Friddell and husband, Henry, Evelyn Boutwell and husband Eddie all of Gainsville, GA, Robin Peek and husband, Jimmy of Eddyville, KY and Katherine "Kat" Moore Williams of Kuttawa, KY; son, Frankie Moore of Kuttawa; brother, Robert Moore; sisters, Shirley Pendley, Mildred Crick, Margie Draper and Lois Morehead; twenty-four grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. J.W. Haire and Bro. Justin Pryor officiating. Burial to follow at Oakley Home Cemetery in Manitou, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Ryan Lantrip, Chance DeMoss, Harley Morfoot, Josh Stewart, George Smith and Scott Boutwell. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Peek, Jason Creasey, Ezequiel Martinez, Eddie Boutwell and Charles Turley.
