Eva Loretta Gunn James, 92, of Madisonville, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2016.

She was born on August 28, 1923 in Sacramento, KY to the late Allene McCartney Gunn and John Andrew Gunn. Eva enjoyed sitting on the porch talking with her sisters and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed singing and dancing and even got to enjoy doing that during her stay at NHC Healthcare of Madisonville. Eva was of the non denominational faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers; six sisters; her grandson, Brian James; and her great-granddaughter, Chloe James.

Survivors include her daughter, Joy (Kenny) Taylor of Madisonville; sons, Rickey James of Madisonville and Bobby (Michelle) James of Nebo, KY; brother, George Gunn of Clio, MI; grandsons, Robert "T.J." James and Coty James; great-granddaughters, Keira James and Kayleigh James; great-grandsons, Carsen James; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Dustin Lee officiating. Burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are T.J. James, Coty James, Barry Gipson, Mike Gunn, Mike Flener and Steve James. Honorary pallbearers are Carsen James, Kenny Taylor and Glen Dame.
