Erwin "Ray" Lerhea Hinton, Jr., 65, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at his home.

He was born on August 31, 1958, in Anchorage, AK, to the late Wetonia Trover Hinton and Erwin L. Hinton, Sr. He was formerly employed as a rewinder operator for Ahlstrom. He loved woodworking, electronics, and computer repair. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff (Ceirra) Hinton and Robert (Keri) Hinton, both of Madisonville; sisters, Donna (Jeff) Fredrick of Madisonville, Sonja (Terry) Durham of Dixon, KY, and Becky Hinton of New Albany, OH; granddaughters, Emma Hinton and Ella Hinton, both of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Crowell officiating. A private burial will be held at Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
