Elsie Irene Schubach, 96, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on May 18, 1920 in Clinton, IL to the late Alberta and Wesley Fletcher. Irene was formerly employed with Hollywood Candy Factory. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and was one of their biggest fans but her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irene was a member of Ashley Baptist Church in Ashley, IL.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Clark Schubach; brother, Harold Fletcher; sisters, Alene Spinner and Levoice Fletcher; and her step-father, John Reed.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara McCoy of Madisonville; granddaughters, Melissa Taylor and husband, Bruce of Madisonville and Lorri May and husband, Bryan of Gilbert, AZ; great-granddaughters, Kyleigh Taylor and Kyndal Taylor; great-grandsons, Kaleb Taylor, Cooper May and Caden May; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL with Rev. Ken Jayne officiating. Burial to follow at Ashley City Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at Campagna Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Taylor, Kaleb Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Steve Taylor and Gary Spinner.
