Douglas Locke, 84, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on June 3, 1940, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Gladys Cartwright Eades and James Locke. He was formerly employed as a meter man for Kentucky Utilities. He enjoyed radio-controlled helicopters and drones. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Douglas was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dena Gatlin.

Survivors include his son, Brad Locke of Madisonville; fiancée, Lois Ford of Madisonville; granddaughters, Ashlyn Harrell and Shalyn Locke, both of Madisonville; great-granddaughters, Brileigh Locke, Kaisley Harrell, and Willow McKay, all of Madisonville; and his great-grandson, Tallyn Harrell of Madisonville.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Joe Lott officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
