Douglas Dewayne Cunningham, 69, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville, IN.

He was born on September 13, 1954, in Detroit, MI, to the late Marva Nell Clark Bergeron and Harold D. Cunningham. He was a self-employed construction worker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and woodworking. Douglas attended Grapevine Holiness Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lois Cunningham.

Survivors include his son, David Cunningham of Kentucky; daughter, Angie Cunningham of Kentucky; sisters, Patricia "Sissy" (Mark) Minton of Madisonville, Sandra Bergeron of Charlton, MA, and Jessica (Mark) Lentz of Ware, MA; brothers, Allen Bergeron of Wales, MA, Steven Bergeron of Worcester, MA, and Curtis Bergeron of MD; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney James officiating. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Tony Cunningham, Roger Cunningham, Mark Minton, Matthew Minton, Michael Wright, and Robert Scott. H onorary pallbearers are John Minton and Krista Minton.
