Douglas "Doug" Joe Harris, 75, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

He was born on September 25, 1949, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Joe Harris and Edna Earl Harris.

Doug worked in the coal industry for most of his adult life. He enjoyed afternoon rides on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His gift was mechanics and he spent most of his spare time making repairs to anything that had a motor in it.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki.

Doug loved his family and extended family wholeheartedly. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Paula Duncil Harris and his daughter, Kari Jo Harris.

Doug loved his brother-in-law, Ronnie Presley and his nephews, Jason Presley and Dylan (Nina) Presley.

He loved his sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Chuck Lynn; nephew, Shane Utley, wife Stephanie and their children, Jordan and Paige Utley and son Gray, Zane Utley, Connor Tucker and McKenzie Tucker; Chuck's brother, Tracy Lynn and his sons, DJ and Tyler.

He loved his stepmother, Janice Collins Harris and her son, Billy and Wife Sharla, Billy's son, Sam and wife Regina, and their children, Lexie and Jackson; Sharla's children, Skyler and Sean, and Skyler's son, Seth; Janice's daughter, Debbie and her husband Tommy and Debbie's daughter, Kayleigh.

Per Doug's wishes there will be no service. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was entrusted with care.
