Dorothy Stewart, 85, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on October 13, 1933 in Hanson, KY to the late Mabelle Groves and Samuel Groves. Dorothy attended Pleasant View Baptist Church and she enjoyed crocheting and reading.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, S.M. "Cowboy Stewart; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Charles Stewart and wife, Dorothy of Nebo, KY daughter, Sandra Voss and husband, Johnny of Madisonville; grandaughters, Angela Stewart of Mortons Gap, KY and Mindy Stewart of Madisonville; step-granddaughters, Missy Forbes, Tammy Nichols and Sherry Watts; great-granddaughters, Kinzlee Rhye and Aliah Carlisle; and several step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville with Bro J.D. Holt officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.

The visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Monday at Harris Funeral Home.
