Dorothy Minton Rhye, 79, of Nortonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Baptist Health Deaconess.

She was born on September 9, 1942, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Lillie Mae Green Minton and James Henry Minton. She enjoyed word search puzzles and sewing. Dorothy was a member of Sanctuary Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin; and her infant daughters, Joyce Faye Rhye and Rebecca Ruth Rhye;

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Joyce Rhye; her sisters, Edna Adams, Susie McNeily, Betty Adcock, and Mary Ruth Newkirk; her brothers, Bobby Minton, Michael Minton, Paul "Sandy" Minton, and David Minton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Sanctuary Church in Nortonville. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
