Dorothy Holmes Brasher, 95, of Panama City, FL formerly of Madisonville, KY passed away on June 17, 2021 at her home.

She was born on June 19, 1926 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Adaline Griffin Duncan and Ira Lee Duncan. Dorothy was a member of Seventh Day Adventist in Madisonville. She enjoyed croqueting and art.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Burt Holmes; second husband, Travis Brasher; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Louise Williams, Judy (Buddy) Melton, Sherry (Ben) Besenyi all of Florida and Linda Millirons of Illinois; son, Andy (Glenda) Holmes of Kentucky; brother, Ray Duncan of Florida; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; twenty-one great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Michael Foraker officiating. A private burial will be held at Prospect Cemetery in Dalton, KY.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
