Doris Davis Whitfield, 87, of Madisonville, KY passed away at Redbanks Colonial Terrace in Sebree, KY.

She was born on November 13, 1933 in Calhoun, KY to the late Emma McCroy Davis and Jeremiah Davis. Doris was formerly employed at Walmart and was a member of Richland Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Whitfield; brothers, William "Dub" Davis, Jerry Davis and Paul Davis; and her sisters, Helen Davis, Joyce Davis Baxter and Donna Davis.

Survivors include her daughter, Jo Johnston of Hanson, KY; sons, Richard (Emma) Whitfield of Bowling Green, KY, Dale (Patsy) Martin of St. Charles, KY and Michael (Amy) Martin of Dixon, KY; step-son, Keith (Beverly) Whitfield of Sacramento, KY; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, February 12, 2021 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Frank Cotton officiating. Burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.
