Donna Markel Wade, 66, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on September 24, 1959, in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Ann Seay Hicks. She was formerly employed by Regions Bank. She enjoyed reading, crafting, and gardening. She loved her grandchildren and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bob Hicks; sister, Susan Manchester; and her brother, Bobby Markel.

Her survivors include her husband of forty-seven years, Richard Wade; daughter, Angela Richards of Manitou, KY; son, Jeffrey (Reda) Johnson of Hopkinsville, KY; sister, Dawn Motes of Cumberland Furnace, TN; grandchildren, Jonathan Richards, Noah Richards, Nathan Richards, Savanna (Eric) Dailey, and Jeffrey "Junior" Johnson; great-grandchildren, Adryan Dailey and Eric Dailey, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Taz.

A private memorial service will be held. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
