Donald "Don" Loyd Locke, 72, of Gilbertsville, Ky. formerly of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 11:43 p.m. on Sunday March 21, 2010 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

He was born May 26, 1937 in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Oscar Lee Locke Sr. and Idalene Hanley Locke. He was a retired mechanic from Continental Can Company in Milwaukee, WI. He was a member of United Steelworkers of America. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Warner Locke in August 2003; a daughter, Rhonda Michelle Polzin in October 1998; a sister, Betty Cunningham; two brothers, Oscar Lee Locke Jr. and Jimmy Locke.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Seybold of Milwaukee, WI.; two sons, Edgar Locke of Butler, WI. and Troy Locke of Milwaukee, WI.; a sister, Audrey Cunningham of Madisonville, Ky.; two brothers, Kenneth Locke of Marion, Ky. and Vernon Locke of Milwaukee, WI.; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday March 27, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, Ky. with Bro. Kerry Smith officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
