Donald Keith Holmes-NEBO, KY.

Donald Keith Holmes, 56, of Nebo, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009, at his home.

He was born November 15, 1952, in Evansville, IN., to the late Ernest Duward Holmes and his surviving mother Allie Utley. He was a truck driver for Food Giant. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Holmes.

He is survived by his mother, Allie Utley; his wife of 36 years Karen Holmes; two sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Laura Stites of Belvidere, Ill., Donnie Holmes of Nebo, Ky.; daughter and son-in-law, Robyn Holmes and Tim Ben Hassaine of Manchester, MO.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Timmy and Shirley Holmes of Princeton, Ky., Tony and Kim Holmes of Mortons Gap, Ky.; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Rodney Bourland of Hanson, Ky.; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Len Young officiating. Burial will be in Dalton Cemetery in Dalton, Ky. Pallbearers will be Joe Holmes, Lou Salazar, Steve Emery, Shane Holmes, Michael Blanchard and Ryan Emery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Mosely, Chris Hill and Sean Hancock.
