Donald "Don" Ross Bunch, 73, of Hanson, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.

He was born on September 3, 1951, in Madisonville to the late Barbara Simmons Howton and Andy Ross Bunch. He was the safety director at Warrior Coal Company for seventeen years before answering a call to full time ministry. He attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Don pastored three Methodist churches in Cadiz: Bethesda, Cerulean, and Mt. Zion. He was a member of Hanson United Methodist Church and was a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM 143. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a good man, a man of great faith, a comedian and a kid at heart who cared deeply for so many.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Ross Bunch.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Terry Gill Bunch; daughter, Robin (William) Bunch Sallee of Bradenton, FL; sisters, AlmaGayle (Doug) Bryant of Nebo, KY and Pam Haley of Earlington, KY; grandsons, Nathan Sallee and Joshua Sallee both of Bradenton; granddaughter, Ashlyn Sallee of Bradenton; and one niece and several nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. J.W. Durst officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

The visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the funeral  hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
