Delmar Jackson Parrent, 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Hillside Villa Care and Rehab Center in Madisonville.

He was born on September 26, 1938 in Cadiz, KY to the late Fannie and Morris Parrent. Delmar was a United States Air Force Veteran and was formerly a coal miner with River Queen Mines. He enjoyed watching football and baseball and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Connie B. Parrent.

Survivors include his son, Darrin Parrent of Hanson, KY; granddaughter, Allison Parrent of Dearborn, MI; and several cousins.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd. Hopkinsville, KY. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
