Debra Chandler Townsend, 70 of Slaughters, KY passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at her home.

She was born on April 20, 1950 in Madisonville to the late Wanda Biggs Chandler and Cordis Chandler. Debra was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Slaughters. She enjoyed canning and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Chandler and Barry Chandler.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Jimmy Townsend of Slaughters, KY; son, Keith (Carolyn) Townsend of Slaughters; daughter, Kimberly (Jon) Brown of Dixon, KY; sister, Connie (Travis) Butler of Slaughters; grandchildren, Dustin, Dylan, Kara and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Blake, Caleb, Audrey, Broady, Casey and Silas; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on June 7, 2020 at Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, KY with Bro. Thorton Stanley officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
