David Riggs, 63, of Mortons Gap, KY passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on January 5, 1951 in Madisonville, KY to the late Lottie and David Riggs. He was retired from CSX.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Thomason.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Virginia Riggs; his son, Nathan (Judith) Riggs of Mortons Gap; his daughter, Christine (Curtis) Chaney of Nortonville, KY; his brother, Larry Riggs of Madisonville; his sister, Elaine Riggs of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, KY with Bro. Shawn Vickery officiating. Burial to follow.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Monday at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville.
