David "Cooky" Melton's Obituary
David "Cooky" Melton, 80, of Manitou, KY passed away at 3:55 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
He was born on February 22, 1934 in Toledo, OH to the late Nannie L. Poole and John Melton. He was a self employed welder and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Poole.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Judy Melton; daughter, Marilyn (Keith) Niswonger of St. Louis, MO; son, Michael (Teannah) Melton of Nebo, KY; five grandchildren and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Roy Ellis officiating and Rev. Glen Hobgood assisting. Burial to follow at Oakley Home Cemetery in Manitou.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Madison Melton, Caleb Crabtree, Rollie Matheny, Keith Niswonger, Charlie Taylor, Terry Jones. Honorary Pallbearer will be Obadiah Melton.
