David Betts, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN.

He was born on August 1, 1949, in Evansville, IN to the late Jeanette Perkins Betts and Wayne Betts. David was owner operator of Betts and Company as a real estate appraiser. He was also an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Alisa Burden Betts of Madisonville; his son, John (Sandra) Betts of Madisonville and Andrew (Whitney) Downey of Georgia; sister, Pam (Steve) Faulk of Madisonville; his grandchildren who lovingly called him "Papa", Allie Downey, David Blake Downey, Blake Austin Duncan, Preston Moody, John David "J.D." Betts II, Rylee Knight; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Steve Gilliam and Gwen Kik officiating. A burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

A visitation will be held on Friday, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour in the chapel at the funeral home.

The pallbearers are Mitchell Faulk, Mark Allen, Chris Scott, DJ. Hamby, Evan Law, and Caleb Burden.

Memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to The Door of Hope Pregnancy Care Center in Madisonville.
