Darren Scott Beaver, 39, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 2:47 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, In.
He was born on February 22, 1975 in Madisonville, KY to Sharon Lutz Beaver and Michael T. Beaver. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes they have Cerebral Palsy and never speak a word. Darren's leadership example to family and society for the 39 years God had him on such a mission was commendable. His wit, humor and inspiration was not hindered by a body that much of his life must have felt like a prison. Darren was still more than able to live an admirable life to the glory of God by his example of perseverance. His appreciation of all types of music, movies, good stories, and the UK basketball team was best experienced alongside his family and friends. Darren's family would like to thank everyone who contributed to his life, and allowed him to influence their lives in return.
Darren attended Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou, Ky.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Lonnie Lutz and his paternal grandparents, Helen A. and L.E. "Pete" Beaver.
He is survived by his mother and father, Sharon Lutz Beaver and Michael T. Beaver of Madisonville; his brother, Dale (Andree) Beaver of Evansville, IN; his sister, Terri Rainwater of Madisonville; his niece, Kaci Rainwater of Madisonville; his nephews, Micah Rainwater of Madisonville and Adam Beaver, Andrew Beaver, Darren M. Beaver and David Henry Beaver all of Evansville, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Manitou, KY.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Beaver, Andrew Beaver, Dale Beaver, Micah Rainwater and Tommy Rainwater. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaci Rainwater, Darren M. Beaver and David Henry Beaver.
Memorial contributions may be made in Darren's memory to Concord General Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
