Darrell William Gordon, 67, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on December 19, 1956, in Joliet, IL to the late Virginia Morse Petitt and Ervin H. Gordon. Darrell was formerly employed at True Value in Madisonville as a mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and working on lawn mowers and weed eaters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Basil Petitt; and his brothers, Greg Gordon, Russell Gordon, Floyd Gordon, J.C. Gordon and Joe Gordon.

Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Peggy Love Gordon; daughter, Shannon (Dylan) Dewitt of Madisonville; sisters, Vicki (Tony) Duncan of Manitou, KY, Linda Bruce and Missy (Keith) Jarvis both of Madisonville; brothers, Gary (Tina) Gordon of Madisonville, George (Bev) Petitt of Hanson, KY and Ervin "Peewee" (Linda) Gordon of Madisonville; grandson, Jacob Dewitt of Madisonville; granddaughter, Kloe "Peaches" Dewitt of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Bill Stafford officiating.

A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the service hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
