Cornelius B. Oliver's Obituary
Cornelius B. Oliver, 85, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.
He was born on April 1, 1926 in Elizabethtown, KY to the late Hobert and Roxie Bell Oliver. He was formerly employed with Sinclair Oil Company as a tank installer. He was a CB radio enthusiast and a HAM radio operator. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Owens Oliver; his sister, Bernice Wasserman and his brother, Robert Oliver.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Oliver; his brother, Alex Oliver of Elizabethtown, KY; three step-daughters, Regina Major of Slaughters, KY, Gail Spicer of Madisonville and Phyllis Winstead of Slaughters, KY; a step-son, Steven Ruby of Madison, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. There was no visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was in charge of arrangements.
