Clara "Dean" Willadean Epley Davis, 89, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

She was born on September 20, 1932 in Madisonville to the late Ethel Sneed Epley and William David Joseph Epley. She was devoted to God and lived her life in His service, she was a prayer warrior with a faith that never wavered. She loved church and attended Madison Avenue Holiness Church where she taught Sunday school and after the church closed she began attending Lone Star Pentecostal Church. She loved her cats and fed any stray cat in her neighborhood. She loved gardening and especially loved her roses.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Thomas Davis; daughter, Mary Jeradean Scott; brother, Dorman O. Epley; sisters, Betty Jo Davis and Delora Downing; her grandson, Danny B. Yates, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Emma Weisman of Tampa, Fl and Betty (Benny) Davis-Baxter of Hanson, KY; step-daughter, Shirley (Jim) Hannah of Cortez, CO; grandchildren, Courtney T. Weisman of Washington, D.C., Matthew (Amber) Martinez of Madisonville, Benny Baxter, Jr. of Leitchfield, KY and Wendy D. (CW3 Bruno) Rodriguez of Crestview, FL; step-grandchildren, Cinnamon (Derek) Fager of Powder Springs, GA and Sheri Hannah-Ruh Of Lasalle, SC; great-grandson, Aidan Martinez, Nikolas Rodriguez and Cody Yates; sister-in-law, Juanita Epley of Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Thursday, December 23, 2021 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with her nephew Tim Davis giving her eulogy. Burial to follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson.

A visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.
