Cindy Dew Reese, 56, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.

She was born on July 27, 1962 in Garden Grove, CA to Pat Dew and Rick Dew. Cindy took care of her grandmother for several months during her illness. After her grandmother's passing Cindy moved from Oregon to Kentucky to be with her mom, Pat. She worked at Regional Medical center in Madisonville as a painter from 2002 until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, she truly loved her job and that is where she met her friends, Sandy, Ron, Judy Mae and Brenda. She enjoyed wood working, construction and she truly loved painting at Covenant Community Church in her spare time with her friend, Wanda Knight.

Cindy's dream was to one day travel to Ireland but unfortunately never got to make the trip. Her mother's friend, Venita Curry just traveled to Ireland and brought back several gifts for Cindy. Even though she did not get to enjoy her gifts just knowing she is in the arms of Jesus is a special gift and brings much peace and comfort to her friends and family.

She was proceeded in death by her grandmother "Mom" and grandfather, "Pa'paw"; infant brother;  aunts, Jean and Orabelle; and her uncle, Stew.

Survivors include her mother, Pat Dew of Madisonville; father, Rick Dew of Oregon; cousins, who she loved like sister's and a brother, Cheryl, Rick,  Deb who would always keep Cindy up on the family happenings, Punky and Shelly; and her beloved dog, Jake.

The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Covenant Community Church in Madisonville with Pastor Andrew Harris assisting and Dr. Michael Knight officiating. A burial will be held at a later date in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.

The visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at Covenant Community Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Cindy's memory to Covenant Community Church or the Mahr Cancer Center.
