Chester Alvin Capps, Jr., 72, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on January 29, 1946 in Fort Smith, AR to the late Opal Madeline Capps and Chester A. Capps, Sr. Chester was a United States Navy Veteran and was a former truck driver with Poole Truck Lines. He was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville. Chester enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Kathy Capps; daughter, Kelly Binkley and husband, Rick of Marion, KY; sister, Mildred Stirsman and husband, Gerald of Madisonville; one niece; and several cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Chaplain Pat Dew officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

The pallbearers are Rick Binkley, Richard Binkley, Tom West, Nathan Parker, Fred Drake and Leland Duke.
