Cheryl Peyton, 44, of Dalton, KY passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess.

She was born on April 1, 1979, in Madisonville, KY, to Kathy Stone Crumbaker and James "Jim" Crumbaker. She was a teachers' aide at James Madison Middle School. She loved photography, gardening, canning, hunting, and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Cheryl was an active member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Dalton.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Vallerie Peyton; and father-in-law, David Peyton.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Peyton of Dalton, KY; mother and father, Kathy Stone Crumbaker and James "Jim" Crumbaker of Evansville, IN; her children, Alexandra (Lee Galloway) Peyton of Madisonville, Mckensey Peyton of Nebo, and Drake Peyton of Dalton; sister, Jamie (Chris) Crumbaker-Forshee of Evansville; grandchildren, Lucas and Lincoln Galloway; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Mayfield and Pastor Mike Hodges officiating. Burial to follow at Rose Creek Cemetery in Nebo, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
