Charlie J. Parker, Jr.'s Obituary
Charlie J. Parker, Jr., 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home.
He was born on June 6, 1934 in Slaughters, KY to the late Agnes Bruce and Charlie J. Parker, Sr. Charlie was formerly a painter and a driver with UPS. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing and general handy work.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wyman Parker and Raymond Parker; and his sister, Lucille Pierce.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Mildred Parker; son, Jim Parker of Dallas, TX; sister, Charlotte Parker of Owensboro, KY; brother, Archie Parker of Indiana; granddaughters, Kimberlee Mahre and husband, Andrew of Norman, OK and Becky Parker of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's memory to the American Cancer Society or Baptist Health Hospice.
