Charles A. Rudd, 91, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at his home.

He was born on January 15, 1921 in Madisonville to the late Maude and Mason Rudd. He was a United States Army Veteran and obtained a degree from Vanderbilt University. He was president of Rudd Insurance in Madisonville until his retirement in 1998. Rudd served on the Board of Directors of Kentucky Bank and Trust Company. He also served on the Board of Directors at Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Madisonville where he was a past chairman of the Administrative Council.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Harriette Rudd; his son, Allen (Pam) Rudd of Madisonville; his daughter, Ann (Doug) Weltner of Fairview, TN; his granddaughter, Sarah Rudd of Nashville, TN and his grandson, Mason Rudd of Madisonville.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Madisonville with Pastor Dale Carden officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at First United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in the memory of Charles.
