Cathy DeBusk Johnson, 66, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born on December 20, 1957, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Martha Alexander DeBusk and Russell DeBusk. She was formerly employed as a payroll specialist for Carhartt and she also worked at Metcalfe Landscape and Garden and  Fifth Third Bank in Madisonville. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Perkins; and her brother, Jack Rayman.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, Steve Johnson; sons, James "Jay" (Tracie) Messimore and Derek (Debra) Messimore; daughters, Julie Bailey and Marcia (Eric) Tomlin; sisters, Dana (Randy) Alvey and Connie Couch; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several  nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Rita Roberts officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
