Carolyn Hatcher Simms, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at her home.

She was born on December 16, 1942, in Tipton, OK, to the late Elizabeth Browning Hatcher and Tommy Hatcher. She was formerly an AVON representative. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Ed" Simms; brothers, Dwight Hatcher and Joyce Hatcher; and sister, Edith Hatcher.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Hughes of Madisonville and Angela (Steve) Connell of Perryton, TX; granddaughter, Botessa (Micah) Mullennix of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Jadon Love and Alana Love; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Hanson Cemetery with Wayne Burton officiating. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
