Carolyn Garrett, 80, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on June 11, 1945, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Leona Rickard Garrett and Jessie Garrett. She worked for Ballard Catering and she was the owner and operator of Carol's Hair Styling. She enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, and a good steak dinner. Her greatest joy was spending time with all her grandchildren. Carolyn was a member of Pritchett's Chapel in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ronnie Skinner.

Her survivors include her brother, Donald Ray (Joyce) Garrett of Dawson Springs, KY; grandsons, Nick Skinner of Manitou, KY, Michael (Sarah) Skinner of Dawson Springs, KY and Joshua Skinner of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Blake Skinner, Jonathan (Kierra) Skinner, Austin ( Skylar) Skinner, Dilyn (Skye Bratcher) Skinner, Devon Stewart, and Sedrick Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
