Caroline "Marie" Bruce, 67, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 9:57 p.m. on Thursday August 11, 2011 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

She was born on November 10, 1943 in Madisonville, to the late Finis Crabtree and Alma Jane Crabtree. She was formerly a cashier at the Salvation Army in Madisonville. She was a member of First House of God in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Dorris Crabtree and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph D. Bruce; a daughter, Angel Bruce of Madisonville; a son, Eddie Bruce of Madisonville; two sisters, Patsy Brown of Madisonville and Lorene Turley of Providence, Ky.; two granddaughters, Leslie Hibbs and Destiny Bruce both of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday August 14, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Tommy Hayes, Bro. Phil Bennett and Bro. Gary Bennett officiating. Cremation will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
