Carol Ann Joiner, 64, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on June 30, 1952 in Madisonville to the late Doris and Raymond Pearce. Carol enjoyed gardening and playing bridge but her passion was learning about Lupus research and organ donation. She was the current President of the Cardinal Garden Club of Madisonville, served as treasurer of the Audubon district of the Garden Club of Kentucky and was a long time member of the Woman's Club of Madisonville. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Madisonville. Carol truly loved her family, her grandchildren and her many friends.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-six years, Richard Joiner; sons, John Joiner and wife, Jennifer, Charles Joiner both of Louisville and Adams McCalister and wife, Tiffany of Madisonville; brothers, George Pearce and wife, Kathy of Madisonville, David Pearce and wife, Susan of Lexington, KY and John Pearce and wife, Carla of Austin, TX; grandsons, Blakely McCalister, Bentley McCalister, Weston McCalister and John Franklin Joiner; granddaughter, Bailey McCalister; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Deacon Tom Mills and Allen Rudd officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
