Carl Edward Wilson, 93, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on August 16, 1930, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Opal Polley Wilson and Rev. Thomas Wilson. He was a proud veteran of the Kentucky Army National Guard. He was a self-employed farmer. He loved music, fishing, and doing auto body work. Carl was a member of Covenant Community Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-one years, Eva Irene Wilson; sons, Michael Wilson and Ronald Wilson; brother, Wallace Wilson; and sister, Annie Wilson.

Survivors include his daughter, Sarah (Whitney) Curtis of Madisonville; sons, Donald (Patti) Wilson of Evansville, IN and Eddie (Peggy) Wilson of Paris, TN; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Covenant Community Church with Dr. Michael Knight officiating. Burial to follow at Oakley Home Church Cemetery in Manitou, KY. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers are Whitney Curtis, Will Curtis, Cameron Smith, Thomas Miller, Chris Wilson, and Logan Wilson.
