Brenda Lee Adkins Mills, 64, of Nebo, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at her home.

She was born on December 30, 1959, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Mary Virginia Barton Cates and James Garnett Adkins. She retired after thirty-eight years from Kroger where she worked as a customer service representative. She loved gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Brenda was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Daniel Guy Fulton.

Survivors include her daughters, Danielle Wilson of Sacramento, KY and Ashleigh (Michael) Pingleton of Nebo; fiancée, Jim Mills of Nebo; sisters, Sherry (Jerry) Bourland of Earlington, KY, Doris Williams and Carolyn Adkins, both of Madisonville; brother, James E. Adkins of Madisonville; grandsons, Joshua (Sierra) Fulton and Patrick (Sheridan) Evans; granddaughter, Megan (Matt) Miller, Madison Pingleton, and Rihanna Rudolph; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Miller, Samuel Miller, Addilyn Miller, Sofia Fulton, Baker Fulton, Dalton Kelly, Adyn Evans, and Noah Evans; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Brantley officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
