Brenda Fay Hawkins, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess.

She was born on August 19, 1950, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Laura Virginia Jennings Burden and Lonnie Burden. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Brenda was a member of Mannington Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, William Hawkins of Madisonville; daughter, Stacy (Dennis) Quillen of Madisonville; sons, William Shane (Felicia) Hawkins and B.J. (Tabatha) Hawkins, both of Madisonville; sister, Kelley Harper; brothers, Roy Burden, Kevin Burden, Terry Burden, Trent Burden, Shawn Burden, and Heath Burden; grandsons, Justin Hawkins, Kaleb Townsell, Zack Hawkins, and Aidan Hawkins; granddaughters, Ashlyn Proffitt and Mackenzie Hawkins; great-grandson, Stetson Proffitt, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Harris officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brenda's memory to Mannington Baptist Church, 1768 Mannington Loop, Crofton, KY 42217.

Pallbearers are Justin Hawkins, Kaleb Townsell, Zack Hawkins, Aidan Hawkins, Quaid Proffitt, and Gabe York.
